The Punjab Probation and Parole Service organized an induction training session for its newly appointed officers on the Protection against Harassment of Women at the Workplace Act, 2010, reaffirming its commitment to dignity, justice, and safe work environments.

The session was guided by Hon’ble Fauzia Viqar, Federal Ombudsperson, who provided participants with practical legal insights and emphasized the importance of professional sensitivity in the workplace. Officers attending both in person and online gained enhanced awareness of the legal framework and their responsibilities in preventing and addressing workplace harassment.

Ms. Fauzia Viqar highlighted that respectful and inclusive workplaces are essential for institutional integrity and effective public service. She stressed that understanding and implementing the law is key to ensuring equality, safety, and mutual respect within government organizations.

Officials said the training equipped the newly inducted officers with the knowledge and confidence needed to uphold professional standards and contribute to a culture of dignity and accountability. Participants expressed renewed commitment to promoting safe, respectful, and equitable work environments across the service.
