ISLAMABAD, Sep 11 – On the directives of Wafaqi Mohtasib Ejaz Ahmad Qureshi, a three-member team of the Secretariat held a Khuli Katchery in Talagang, district Attock, to hear and resolve citizens’ complaints against federal departments.

The team, led by Advisor Maj. Gen. (R) Haroon Sikandar Pasha, Consultant Khalid Sial, and Liaison Officer Hussain Ahmad Bokhari, heard grievances related to WAPDA, Sui Gas, NADRA, and the Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP), among others.
Residents highlighted serious issues including deteriorating road networks, fallen electricity poles, delayed restoration of damaged transformers, and alleged corruption in local electricity departments. Citizens also raised concerns over unsafe electricity wires passing over rooftops, excessive billing, delays in CNIC issuance, and hurdles in accessing financial aid from BISP.
The Wafaqi Mohtasib team issued immediate instructions for inquiries and on-the-spot redressal of federal-level complaints, while referring provincial matters to the relevant ombudsman. Officials also directed urgent removal of hazardous electricity wires and inquiries into cases of alleged fund misappropriation.
The Khuli Katchery was attended by local officials of federal agencies, district administration, and media representatives. Earlier, Wafaqi Mohtasib officials delivered an awareness session, informing citizens about free services offered by the institution to address maladministration in federal departments
