Peshawar: The Regional Office of Wafaqi Mohtasib Pakistan in Peshawar has secured the release of an insurance claim worth Rs 2.006 million for a woman from Charsadda after intervening in her complaint against the State Life Insurance Corporation of Pakistan (SLICP).
Mst. Fazeelat Bibi, a resident of Charsadda, had lodged a complaint with the Wafaqi Mohtasib Regional Office Peshawar, stating that an insurance claim of Rs 2,006,000 relating to her brother-in-law had not been released by SLICP.
The Wafaqi Mohtasib office took up the matter and conducted an investigation. Following the intervention, SLICP approved a cheque for Rs 2,006,000 in favour of the complainant, resolving the issue. The complaint was investigated by Regional Head Muhammad Qasim Jan, who also ensured implementation of the decision of the President of Pakistan.
Fazeelat Bibi thanked Wafaqi Mohtasib Naveed Kamran Baloch and Muhammad Qasim Jan for ensuring speedy, transparent, and cost-free resolution of her complaint.
Muhammad Qasim Jan said the Wafaqi Mohtasib institution works to protect citizens’ rights, particularly those of senior citizens and pensioners, and to ensure speedy, transparent, and cost-free administrative justice in federal government departments. He said citizens facing maladministration, injustice, or undue delay in federal government departments could approach the Wafaqi Mohtasib for relief.
