ABBOTTABAD: A widow from Abbottabad district has received a cheque of Rs 581,000 from the State Life Insurance Corporation following intervention by the Regional Office of the Wafaqi Mohtasib (Federal Ombudsman) in Abbottabad.
According to details, the woman’s husband, who was a policyholder, died in an accident. Despite submitting all required documents, the payment of her insurance claim was delayed for nearly a year.
She approached the Regional Office of the Wafaqi Mohtasib in Abbottabad seeking redressal of her grievance. During the proceedings, the relevant record and reports were examined, and the case was decided in her favour. Following the decision, State Life Insurance Corporation issued the widow a cheque of Rs 581,000.
The applicant expressed gratitude to Federal Ombudsman Naveed Kamran Baloch and In-charge Regional Office Abbottabad, Rashid Ahmed, for resolving her grievance and ensuring implementation of the decision.
