SUKKUR: The Provincial Ombudsman Sindh Office held an awareness session on Tuesday at the SRSO Complex in Sukkur to educate staff on the Protection Against Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace Act, 2010 and its 2022 Amendment. The goal was to strengthen employees’ understanding of the law and reinforce the organization’s commitment to a safe and respectful work environment.
Key speakers from the Ombudsman’s Regional Office in Sukkur included Mr. Muhammad Iqbal Arain, Consultant and retired District and Session Judge, Mr. Syed Manzoor Hussain Shah, In-charge of the Provincial Ombudsman PHWWP Regional Office Sukkur, and Mr. Abdul Samee Soomro, Senior Officer. They explained the Ombudsman’s role, key provisions of the Act, and the available complaint mechanisms designed to protect women at the workplace.
