Peshawar – July 2025: The Office of the Provincial Ombudsperson Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has officially announced that H.E. Ms. Rubab Mehdi has assumed her duties as the newly appointed Provincial Ombudsperson.
Under her leadership, immediate steps have been taken to expedite case proceedings, including an increase in daily case hearings to ensure faster resolution of complaints. This strategic move aims to reduce backlog and deliver timely justice, particularly in cases related to harassment and women’s rights. Litigants are advised to stay alert, as hearing dates may be rescheduled to earlier than previously notified. The public is encouraged to cooperate with the revised scheduling process, reflecting the Ombudsperson’s strong commitment to efficiency, accountability, and improved access to justice in the province.
