On directives of the Federal Ombudsman H.E. Ejaz Ahmed Qureshi, the senior advisor and in-charge Regional Office Karachi Syed Anwar Haider, on Thursday, held a Khulli Awami Katchehri (open public meeting) at Deputy Commissioner Office District Karachi East.
Advisors to Federal Ombudsman Syed Zakir Hussain Zaidi and Moula Bux Shaikh, Additional Deputy Commissioner II Bakht Ali Dahio, officials from, K-Electric, NADRA, Sui Southern Gas Company, local governments, and other departments as well as a large number of residents of District East attended the meeting.
On the occasion, numerous complaints were lodged against SSGC, NADRA, Karachi Water and Sewerage Corporation, K-Electric, local government institutions and other agencies. The complainants hailing from Manzoor Colony, PIB Colony, Old Sabzi Mandi, Eesa Nagri and other localities raised issues about unjustified bills by SSGC and K-Electric and disruptions in supply of natural gas, water and electricity to the consumers despite payment of hefty bills, encroachments, inordinate delay in repair of streets after laying off the gas lines, issuance of FRC, and other civic problems.
