PESHAWAR: A retired employee of the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS), Muhammad Zahir Khan, has received his long-pending farewell grant after the intervention of the Wafaqi Mohtasib Secretariat’s Regional Office in Peshawar.

Khan, a resident of Peshawar, had been waiting for the payment of his farewell grant for three years following his retirement. Facing delays in the release of the grant from the Federal Employees Benevolent Fund (FEB) and the Group Insurance Fund (GIF), he filed a complaint with the Wafaqi Mohtasib Secretariat Regional Office Peshawar.
Taking prompt notice of the complaint, the regional office initiated proceedings and took up the matter with the concerned department. As a result of the timely intervention by the Mohtasib’s office, the complainant’s farewell grant was released.
The inquiry into the case was conducted by Assistant Advisor Ms. Anjum Bibi, while Deputy Advisor Muhammad Alamzaib ensured the implementation of the decision.
The complainant expressed gratitude to the Wafaqi Mohtasib for providing prompt administrative justice and resolving his long-pending issue.
