Rawalpindi: The Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RCCI), in collaboration with the Federal Ombudsperson Secretariat for Protection Against Harassment of Women at the Workplace (FOSPAH), organized an awareness session titled “Empowering Women Entrepreneurs through a Safe and Inclusive Workplace.”

Ms. Fauzia Viqar, Federal Ombudsperson for Protection Against Harassment of Women at the Workplace, attended the event as the chief guest. In her address, she emphasized the importance of ensuring a safe, respectful, and harassment-free working environment for women across all sectors, noting that such measures are essential for strengthening women’s participation in economic activities.
Mr. Usman Shaukat, President of RCCI, welcomed the chief guest and highlighted the need for effective mechanisms to address workplace harassment. He stated that creating a secure and inclusive professional environment is vital for the growth and empowerment of women entrepreneurs and professionals.
The session was attended by Mr. Khalid Farooq Qazi, Senior Vice President RCCI: Mr. Fahad Barlas, Vice President RCCI: and former President Mr. Jalil Ahmed Malik, along with members of the RCCI Executive Committee and the business community. The participants discussed the importance of awareness, institutional support, and collaboration to promote safe workplaces and gender-inclusive business environments.
