Multan, November 5: Mr. Mahmood Javed Bhatti, Regional Head and Advisor at the Punjab Ombudsperson’s Office in Multan, visited the flood-affected tehsil of Jalalpur Pirwala to inspect relief efforts and engage directly with the public over administrative grievances.

Accompanied by Assistant Commissioner Mr. Mukarram Sultan, Mr. Bhatti reviewed arrangements at a local flood relief camp, ensuring that adequate facilities were in place to support affected residents.
Prior to the visit, the Advisor chaired a seminar at Government Graduate College Jalalpur and presided over an open court session. The seminar was attended by College Principal Mr. Aslam Farooqi, AC Jalalpur, and other local officials. Mr. Bhatti briefed the audience on the Punjab Ombudsperson’s commitment to resolving complaints against provincial departments swiftly and free of cost.
He emphasized that citizens can file complaints easily by post, in person, or through electronic means and are notified via SMS about their case hearings. “Our goal is to deliver justice at the people’s doorstep, without delay or financial burden,” Mr. Bhatti said.
A significant number of residents attended the open court, raising various issues related to maladministration. Mr. Bhatti assured them that each complaint would be addressed on merit. He was joined by Advisor-II Mr. Waqar Hussain and Associate Assistant Mr. Maaz Hassan Bakhtiyar during the visit.
The outreach underscores the Ombudsperson Office’s ongoing mission to bring accountability, transparency, and responsive governance directly to the communities most in need.
