SARGODHA, Nov 14: The Provincial Ombudsman Punjab has launched a fully equipped mobile office van to register and process public complaints directly from rural areas, aiming to provide doorstep access to justice for citizens unable to visit the main office in Sargodha.

The mobile van, designed as a self-contained workspace, is equipped with a computer, internet access, and essential complaint management software. It will be staffed by a Grade-17 officer and support personnel, who will assist those unable to write applications and upload complaints on the spot, forwarding them immediately to the relevant departments.
The initiative was formally inaugurated at the Provincial Ombudsman’s Regional Office in Sargodha by Additional Deputy Commissioner General Mr. Rana Abu Bakr. The ceremony was attended by Consultant Mr. Chaudhry Mumtaz Dev, Advisor Mr. Muhammad Ilyas Gul, and Federal Ombudsman Advisor Mr. Saif-ur-Rehman.
Speaking to the media, Mr. Muhammad Ilyas Gul said the van will travel from village to village, ensuring that public grievances are recorded without delay. He emphasized that the system is fully online, enabling timely complaint processing and bringing justice closer to the people, especially those in underserved and remote communities.
