Islamabad, 4 March 2026: President Mr. Asif Ali Zardari administered the oath of office to Mr. Naveed Kamran Baloch as the 9th Wafaqi Mohtasib (Federal Ombudsman) of Pakistan during a ceremony held at Aiwan-e-Sadr. Mr. Baloch will serve a four-year term in the role.
Mr. Naveed Kamran Baloch brings extensive administrative and executive experience to the position. Over the course of his distinguished career, he has served in several key roles, including Chief Secretary of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Federal Secretary, and Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister of Sindh.
Following the oath-taking ceremony, Mr. Naveed Kamran Baloch called on President Mr. Asif Ali Zardari.
During the meeting, President Mr. Asif Ali Zardari advised Mr. Baloch to focus on enhancing citizens’ access to justice, improving the efficiency of case disposal, and strengthening mechanisms for timely grievance redressal across federal institutions to ensure better public service delivery.
