Peshawar: In a heartfelt demonstration of justice and service, H.E. Ms. Rubab Mehdi, Provincial Ombudsperson of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, personally intervened in a property rights case involving a rural woman who had been denied her rightful inheritance after the passing of her husband.

Going beyond formal hearings, the Office of the Provincial Ombudsperson provided arbitration and dispute resolution, ensuring the woman’s legal entitlements were secured with dignity and fairness.

This case highlights the Ombudsperson’s commitment to accessible justice, especially for women in remote and underserved areas. Ms. Mehdi reaffirmed that the institution remains a trusted platform for the voiceless, stating:
“Our doors are open. Our desk is listening.”

This act of compassion and accountability marks a strong step toward inclusive governance and the protection of women’s rights across the province.
