FAISALABAD: Ombudsperson Punjab Dr. Najma Afzal Khan visited the Social Welfare Department Faisalabad, where she conducted a productive awareness session aimed at promoting workplace transparency, accountability, and effective implementation of anti-harassment measures.

Upon her arrival, Dr. Najma Afzal Khan was warmly welcomed by Madam Khalda Rafiq Rana Warris, Director Social Welfare Faisalabad Division, along with the Coordinator Social Welfare, CTO Faisalabad, Advisory Committee members, and Deputy Director Social Welfare.
During the visit, the Honourable Ombudsperson Punjab delivered an insightful session highlighting the importance of awareness, institutional responsibility, and effective grievance redressal mechanisms. She also officially presented the Code of Conduct on Workplace Harassment to the Director Social Welfare to support efforts aimed at creating safer and more respectful working environments.
A detailed and productive discussion was held on future collaboration between the Office of the Ombudsperson Punjab and the Social Welfare Department Faisalabad. The participants agreed on the need for increased awareness initiatives, specialized training programs, and capacity-building activities for Inquiry Committees across District Faisalabad.
The discussions focused on strengthening institutional mechanisms for the prevention of harassment, enhancing compliance with relevant laws and policies, and promoting a culture of dignity and respect within workplaces.
The visit concluded with a shared commitment to advancing transparency, accountability, and empowerment through continued cooperation and awareness-building efforts across the district.
