FAISALABAD: Ombudsperson Punjab Dr. Najma Afzal Khan addressed an important event at Government College University Faisalabad (GCUF), where she emphasized the urgent need to strengthen protection measures for women against harassment in educational institutions across Punjab.

During her address, Dr. Najma Afzal Khan strongly advocated for the activation of Anti-Harassment Committees in all universities and colleges to ensure safe, respectful, and secure academic environments for female students and staff members.
She also stressed the importance of prominently displaying the Code of Conduct on workplace and campus harassment within educational institutions to increase awareness, encourage compliance, and promote accountability.
The Honourable Ombudsperson Punjab highlighted that awareness, institutional responsibility, and practical action must work together to eliminate harassment from campuses and create inclusive spaces where women can study and work with dignity and confidence.
Dr. Najma Afzal Khan reiterated the commitment of the Ombudsperson Office to promoting womenโs rights, safe educational environments, and effective grievance redressal mechanisms throughout Punjab.
The event concluded with a collective call for stronger institutional measures and greater awareness to make every educational institution a safe space for women.
