KARACHI: The Office of the Provincial Ombudsman Sindh and Transparency International Pakistan (TIP) have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) aimed at enhancing free, fair, and efficient justice for the public. The signing ceremony took place at the Provincial Ombudsman Sindh headquarters.
The MoU marks a significant step toward strengthening transparency, accountability, and citizen trust in government institutions. Provincial Ombudsman Sindh, Mr. Mohammad Sohail Rajput, briefed the TIP delegation on the Ombudsman’s mission, operational framework, and a new modern complaint management system under development. This system will allow complainants to track the status of their complaints in real-time and ensure swift referral to the appropriate authorities.
Mr. Rajput called the collaboration a “milestone in promoting good governance in Sindh,” and noted that working with a respected organization like TIP will further strengthen institutional integrity and responsiveness.
The Transparency International Pakistan delegation was led by Chairman Justice (R) R. Zia Pervaiz, accompanied by Member Board of Trustees Prof. Dr. Uzma Shujaat, Executive Director Mr. Kashif Ali, and Communication and Partnership Manager Ms. Saira Bano. Justice Pervaiz praised the Ombudsman’s ongoing efforts in addressing public grievances effectively and expressed hope that the partnership would further boost public confidence in the justice delivery system. The agreement was formally signed by Mr. Mohammad Sohail Rajput and Justice (R) R.
