OKARA: The Provincial Ombudsman Punjab’s mobile outreach van conducted public awareness programmes in suburban area 26/2-R and at the University of Okara as part of an awareness campaign across the district.

The campaign has been launched across all three tehsils of Okara district and at important public locations to inform citizens about the jurisdiction, powers, functions, and complaint procedures of the Office of the Ombudsman Punjab.
Citizens are also being provided an opportunity to submit complaints on the spot regarding maladministration, delays, and problems faced in dealing with government departments. The mobile outreach service also guides citizens on how to file complaints and approach the Ombudsman Punjab for relief.
Advisor to the Provincial Ombudsman Punjab, Muhammad Shafiq Ahmed, appealed to citizens to make full use of the facility and approach the mobile outreach van for resolution of legitimate complaints and problems relating to government departments. He said the basic objective of the Ombudsman Punjab was to provide citizens with easy, free, and effective redressal of grievances while promoting good governance and transparency in public institutions.
During the programmes at 26/2-R and the University of Okara, citizens were briefed about procedures for filing complaints against problems faced in connection with various government departments and the relief available through the Ombudsman’s office.
