MULTAN: Advisor to the Office of the Ombudsman Punjab, Multan, Mahmood Javed Bhatti said on Friday that the Ombudsperson’s office is actively working to ensure prompt redressal of public complaints related to maladministration in provincial government departments.

Addressing awareness seminars at the Government Girls Graduate College, Qadirpur Raan, and Union Council 137, Mahmood Javed Bhatti informed participants that citizens can file complaints against any provincial government department without engaging a lawyer. He assured that complaints are resolved within a short period through a transparent process.

He added that complaints can be submitted at regional offices or the head office in Lahore, while applicants are informed about hearing dates and timings through SMS alerts.

The seminars were organized on the directives of the Provincial Ombudsperson. Advisor-II Waqar Hussain also accompanied him during the sessions. Officials including College Principal Gulshan Iqbal and Assistant Associate Muaz Hassan Bakhtiar were present on the occasion.

A large number of citizens participated in the open court held during the visit, where complaints were registered on the spot and assurances for their early resolution were given. Participants appreciated the efforts of Ombudsman Punjab in providing accessible and timely relief to the public.
