Provincial Ombudsman of Balochistan H.E. Nazar Muhammad Baloch conducted an inspection visit to the District Headquarters (DHQ) Hospital in Mastung, accompanied by District Health Officer (DHO) Dr. Muhammad Anwar Gola and other officials from the Provincial Ombudsman Secretariat. The visit included a comprehensive briefing by the Medical Superintendent (MS) of the hospital, Dr. Nisar Ahmed Baloch, who outlined various challenges faced by the hospital, including shortages of surgeons, doctors, paramedical staff, and essential medicines.
During the visit, the Provincial Ombudsman expressed satisfaction with the hospital’s overall performance. He assured the hospital administration that the Health Department Secretary would be informed of these issues to ensure prompt resolution, including addressing shortages of medical staff and supplies.
Dr. Nisar Ahmed Baloch also guided the Ombudsman through various departments, including the Outpatient Department (OPD), pharmacy stores, vaccination room, pediatric ward, main and sub-stores, X-ray department, dental department, laboratory, emergency ward, and labor room. The Provincial Ombudsman inspected the facilities and evaluated the ongoing training of polio vaccination teams, receiving a detailed briefing from DHO Dr. Muhammad Anwar Gola.
Expressing satisfaction with the overall performance of the hospital staff and administration, the Ombudsman reaffirmed his commitment to resolving the hospital’s challenges by engaging with relevant health authorities. The visit highlighted the Provincial Ombudsman’s focus on improving healthcare services and addressing pressing issues in public health facilities.
