The Office of the Ombudsman Punjab proudly represented Pakistan at the 2026 Full Members Meeting of the Southeast Asian Ombudsman Forum (SEAOF), held in Manila, Philippines, from 16–18 June 2026. The international gathering brought together ombudsman institutions from across the region to promote cooperation, strengthen institutional capacity, and exchange best practices in public sector accountability and grievance redress.

The Honourable Ombudsman Punjab, First Vice President of the International Ombudsman Institute (IOI) and Asian Regional Director, delivered two key presentations highlighting Punjab’s achievements in digital governance, quality management, and institutional excellence.

A major focus of the presentations was the Ombudsman Punjab Management Information System (OPMIS) an innovative in-house Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) solution that has transformed complaint management through standardized workflows, enhanced transparency, improved accountability, and strengthened quality assurance. The system has played a significant role in the Office’s achievement of ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System certification across its Head Office, Research & Development Wing, and 38 Regional Offices.

Participation in SEAOF 2026 provided an important opportunity to engage with international counterparts, share Pakistan’s successful governance initiatives, and contribute to discussions on digital transformation, institutional strengthening, effective grievance redress mechanisms, and public sector accountability.

The Ombudsman Punjab delegation also included Mr. Adil Aziz, Deputy Director (IT Infrastructure & Network Security), and Ms. Sidra Arshad, Deputy Director (Procurement & Development), whose participation reflected the institution’s continued commitment to innovation, professionalism, and service excellence.

The Forum of Pakistan Ombudsman commends the Office of the Ombudsman Punjab for representing Pakistan with distinction and for promoting the country’s achievements in modern, citizen-centric ombudsman services on the international stage.
