ISLAMABAD: A delegation of the Human Rights Commission of Pakistan (HRCP) met with Federal Ombudsperson for Protection Against Harassment, Ms. Fauzia viqar, at the Federal Ombudsperson Secretariat for Protection Against Harassment (FOSPAH).
The delegation, comprising HRCP Council members Farhatullah Babar, Saadia Bukhari, and Complaint Officer Sumata Alam, was warmly received at the Secretariat. The meeting focused on key issues related to the promotion of human rights, protection of constitutional freedoms, and inclusion of vulnerable groups.
During the discussion, both sides emphasized the importance of strengthening institutional cooperation to address harassment and ensure a safer and more inclusive environment in workplaces.
Federal Ombudsperson Fauzia Viqar reiterated her commitment to eliminating harassment and safeguarding the dignity of individuals. She highlighted the need for collaborative efforts among institutions to effectively tackle issues related to harassment and uphold fundamental rights.
The meeting concluded with a shared understanding to continue working together towards promoting human rights and ensuring justice for all segments of society.
