Dera Ghazi Khan: The Honourable Ombudsperson Punjab, Dr. Najma Afzal Khan, met with Regional Police Officer (RPO) Dera Ghazi Khan, Mr. Muhammad Azhar Akram, to strengthen institutional commitment toward preventing workplace harassment and promoting safe working environments.

During the meeting, Dr. Najma Afzal Khan presented the official Code of Conduct on Workplace Harassment and emphasized the importance of ensuring a secure, respectful, and dignified environment for employees across all institutions and departments.

The discussion focused on the implementation of workplace harassment laws, awareness regarding employee rights, and the need for effective institutional mechanisms to address complaints in a fair and transparent manner.

The Honourable Ombudsperson Punjab highlighted that safe workplaces are essential for professional growth, institutional integrity, and public trust. She stressed that strong leadership and clear policies play a vital role in fostering a culture of respect, equality, and accountability.

RPO Dera Ghazi Khan Mr. Muhammad Azhar Akram reaffirmed the police department’s commitment to supporting initiatives aimed at protecting employees and promoting harassment-free workplaces throughout the region.
