PESHAWAR: An impactful awareness seminar on workplace harassment and women’s property rights was held at the historic Islamia College Peshawar, an institution widely recognized for its legacy of intellectual growth, enlightenment, and progressive thought in the region.

The seminar was attended by the Honourable Ombudsperson Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Ms. Rubab Mehdi, whose continued outreach efforts across the province have played an important role in promoting legal awareness, accessible justice, and the protection of women’s rights.
Addressing the participants, Ms. Rubab Mehdi emphasized the importance of dignity, equality, and legal protection for women in all spheres of society. She highlighted the significance of awareness initiatives in empowering citizens, particularly young people, with knowledge about their legal rights and available grievance redressal mechanisms.
The Honourable Ombudsperson also spoke about her ongoing public engagement initiatives, including Khuli Kacheris and awareness seminars across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, aimed at strengthening the connection between institutions and communities while ensuring easier access to justice.

The seminar witnessed enthusiastic participation from a large number of students, reflecting the growing commitment of the younger generation toward building a safer, more informed, and equitable society.
The event concluded with a collective resolve to continue promoting awareness, inclusion, and respect for women’s rights through education, dialogue, and institutional support.
