Karachi: Interns of the Federal Tax Ombudsman Secretariat, Regional Office Karachi, accompanied by Mr. Fahad, Focal Person for the Internship Programme in Karachi, undertook a field visit to the Federal Ombudsperson Secretariat for Protection Against Harassment (FOSPAH).
During the visit, the Assistant Registrar FOSPAH briefed the interns on the institution’s mandate, functions, jurisdiction, complaint handling mechanism, and its role in addressing workplace harassment related matters.
The interaction provided the interns with valuable practical exposure to the functioning of a specialized Ombudsman institution and enhanced their understanding of the wider grievance redressal framework operating across Pakistan.
Such institutional visits contribute to greater awareness among young professionals about the complementary roles performed by different Ombudsman institutions in protecting citizens’ rights and strengthening access to justice.
