LAHORE, Aug 3: Coordinator to the Federal Tax Ombudsman (FTO), Saif Ur Rehman, announced a historic milestone on Sunday, highlighting that taxpayer complaints are now being resolved within a record 34 days an achievement credited to the dynamic leadership of Federal Tax Ombudsman Dr. Asif Mahmood Jah.

Speaking at an awareness session with members of the business community, Saif Ur Rehman emphasized that this unprecedented pace reflects Dr. Jah’s unwavering commitment to swift, fair, and cost-free justice for taxpayers across Pakistan.
He noted that the FTO Office ensures immediate registration of complaints, with prompt responses sought from relevant departments. Equal opportunity is given to both parties to present their cases, and decisions are delivered strictly on merit.
Urging responsible tax compliance, Rehman stressed that timely tax payments are vital to national development and governance. He also appreciated the business community’s growing confidence in the FTO’s performance and recent reforms, which continue to strengthen transparency and taxpayer trust nationwide.
