Islamabad: The Federal Ombudsperson Secretariat for Protection Against Harassment (FOSPAH) welcomed a group of interns from the Ministry of Law and Justice for an orientation into its functioning as a quasi-judicial body not in theory, but in practice.
The session walked the interns through FOSPAH’s mandate and jurisdiction under the Protection Against Harassment of Women at the Workplace Act, 2010 (as amended), and what it actually means to adjudicate a complaint: the legal framework, the institutional mechanisms for redress, and the responsibility of ensuring workplaces remain safe, dignified, and inclusive.
For the interns, it was a close look at quasi-judicial proceedings in motion, and a reminder that trust in the administration of justice begins with institutions that are understood, not just followed.
