The Federal Ombudsperson Secretariat for Protection Against Harassment (FOSPAH) Head Office conducted an awareness session at the Pakistan Engineering Council, emphasizing the importance of dignity and respect as fundamental principles of a healthy workplace.
Federal Ombudsperson Ms. Fauzia Viqar addressed participants on the responsibility institutions bear in preventing harassment and ensuring respectful professional environments at all levels. She highlighted that safeguarding dignity must be treated as a core institutional value rather than a reactive measure.
Mr. Waqar Malik, Assistant Registrar, provided an overview of the legal framework protecting employees, outlining the role of due process, clarity in procedures, and accountability in building safe organizational cultures.
The session reinforced that when institutions fully understand and implement both the spirit and the letter of the law, they create workplaces where individuals can work with confidence, security, and mutual respect.
