Pakistan – July 2025: As part of its ongoing mission to promote safe, respectful, and inclusive workplaces, the Federal Ombudsperson for Protection against Harassment (FOSPAH) recently conducted a series of impactful awareness and training sessions across multiple cities and sectors.
At HBL, FOSPAH held an awareness session focused on defining workplace harassment, helping employees recognize its signs, and guiding them on how to report incidents. Special attention was given to empowering participants from tribal and underserved communities, where such issues are often overlooked or misunderstood. The session reinforced the message that awareness is the first step toward dignity and protection.
In Lahore, FOSPAH conducted a comprehensive training workshop for Inquiry Committee members at the Centre for Economic Research in Pakistan (CERP). Led by Legal Advisor Ms. Mah Rukh Aziz and Law Officer Mr. Shazib Iqbal, the session featured real-life FOSPAH case studies and hands-on exercises to build legal and procedural understanding. Participants were trained to manage cases with sensitivity, fairness, and legal precision, reinforcing that accountability starts with informed and capable committees.
Meanwhile, in Quetta, FOSPAH’s outreach team, led by Law Officer Ms. Tayyaba Kakar, visited several major banks to raise awareness about employee rights and protections under workplace harassment laws. The sessions highlighted FOSPAH’s mandate, harassment recognition, and complaint proceduresensuring that employees understand how to seek redress confidently and effectively.
Together, these initiatives reflect FOSPAH’s strong commitment to educating institutions, empowering individuals, and ensuring safer work environments across Pakistan.
