ISLAMABAD: The Federal Ombudsperson Secretariat for Protection Against Harassment (FOSPAH) conducted an awareness session at the Pakistan Anti-Corruption Academy (PACA), National Accountability Bureau (NAB), aimed at promoting workplace integrity, accountability, compliance, and harassment-free working environments.
The session was delivered by Mr. Waqar Ahmad, Assistant Registrar, FOSPAH, and focused on workplace harassment laws, institutional responsibilities, and legal safeguards available to employees under the relevant legal framework.
Senior officials from NAB Headquarters, representing various divisions, cells, and directorates, participated in the session alongside representatives from NAB Regional Bureaus across the country. Reflecting a modern and inclusive approach to institutional training, the seminar was conducted in a hybrid format, allowing participation both in person at PACA Islamabad and virtually from regional offices nationwide.
During the session, Mr. Waqar Ahmad provided a comprehensive overview of workplace harassment legislation, emphasizing the responsibilities of management, the importance of institutional compliance, and the grievance redressal mechanisms available to ensure safe, secure, and equitable workplaces.
Participants were also briefed on best practices for preventing harassment, fostering workplace respect, and strengthening organizational accountability. The discussion highlighted the role of awareness and compliance in promoting professional conduct and protecting employees’ rights.
The initiative reflects the shared commitment of FOSPAH and NAB to strengthening institutional integrity, enhancing accountability, and ensuring compliance with anti-harassment regulations across public sector institutions in Pakistan.
