Islamabad: FOSPAH, in collaboration with HPFKM Law Firm, conducted a training session on workplace harassment, sexual harassment, and gender-based discrimination for employees of RIZ Consulting and KRATOS Consultants.
The session focused on building awareness about dignity, safety, and respect in professional environments. Participants were briefed on what constitutes workplace harassment, how sexual harassment may appear in formal and informal work settings, and the different forms of gender-based discrimination, both subtle and direct.
The training also highlighted the legal responsibilities of employers, including the formation of inquiry committees, adoption of preventive policies, and establishment of internal complaint mechanisms to protect employees and ensure safe workplaces.
A key part of the discussion was the broader understanding of the term “workplace.” Participants were reminded that workplaces are not limited to offices, but also include roads, highways, field locations, and other work-related environments where employees perform their duties.
The session reinforced the importance of creating safe, respectful, and harassment-free workplaces where dignity and protection remain central to organizational culture.
