Karachi: The Federal Ombudsperson Secretariat for Protection Against Harassment of Women at the Workplace (FOSPAH) joined the Overseas Investors Chamber of Commerce and Industry (OICCI) in commemorating International Women’s Day 2026 under the United Nations theme “Rights. Justice. Action. For All Women and Girls.”

Speaking at the event, Federal Ombudsperson Ms. Fauzia Viqar emphasized that the true measure of justice in any society lies in how effectively women’s dignity and rights are protected. She noted that when workplaces fail to safeguard women from harassment and discrimination, it not only harms individual careers but also hinders the collective progress of society.

Addressing corporate leaders and stakeholders, Ms. Fauzia Viqar highlighted the critical role of legal frameworks and complaint redressal mechanisms, stressing that such safeguards are not optional but essential instruments for ensuring justice and accountability in workplaces.

Her participation reflected FOSPAH’s ongoing commitment to transforming awareness into action, promoting safe and respectful work environments, and empowering women to confidently claim and exercise their rights in professional spaces.
