PESHAWAR, October, 202: The Federal Ombudsman’s Regional Head, Muhammad Mushtaq Jadoon, called on Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Faisal Karim Kundi at Governor House and presented the performance report of the Regional Office.

Jadoon, a former senior bureaucrat, informed the Governor that under the leadership of Federal Ombudsman Ejaz Ahmad Qureshi, the institution resolved 226,000 public complaints nationwide in 2024. These included cases related to women, children’s rights, pension issues for widows, and grievances of overseas Pakistanis. He added that 93% of these decisions had been implemented.

In 2025 so far, around 200,000 complaints have already been addressed, with an 88% resolution rate. In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa alone, 21,000 complaints have been resolved this year an increase from 20,000 in 2024 highlighting rising public trust in the Federal Ombudsman’s office.

Jadoon also shared updates on service enhancements, including inspections of federal institutions and the introduction of complaint submission via WhatsApp to make redressal more accessible.

Governor Faisal Karim Kundi commended the Ombudsman’s efforts, calling the institution a key pillar for swift and transparent resolution of public grievances. He noted that the strong performance of the Regional Office reflects growing public confidence and plays a critical role in advancing good governance. The Governor expressed hope that the Ombudsman’s Secretariat would continue working with the same dedication to ensure justice and service delivery for the people of KP and beyond.
