PESHAWAR: The Federal Ombudsman Pakistan and the Provincial Ombudsman Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, both member institutions of Forum of Pakistan Ombudsman (FPO), reaffirmed their shared commitment to improving public service delivery, transparency, and effective grievance redressal through strengthened institutional cooperation.

In this regard, Federal Ombudsman Pakistan Mr. Naveed Kamran Baloch visited the Secretariat of the Provincial Ombudsman Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in Peshawar, where he held an important meeting with Provincial Ombudsman KP Mr. Mutahar Zeb.

During the meeting, both sides discussed key issues related to the effective resolution of public complaints and the enhancement of coordination between federal and provincial ombudsman institutions. The discussions focused on improving administrative cooperation and adopting joint strategies to ensure the timely resolution of citizens’ grievances.

The participants also emphasized the importance of promoting transparency, accountability, and improved governance standards within public institutions. Special attention was given to public awareness initiatives aimed at increasing access to ombudsman services, particularly for citizens living in remote and underserved areas.

Both institutions reiterated their commitment to providing prompt, accessible, and cost-free justice while strengthening public trust in accountability mechanisms and administrative justice systems across the country.

The meeting reflected the continued efforts of Pakistan’s ombudsman institutions to promote citizen-centered governance, institutional collaboration, and efficient public complaint management for the benefit of the public.
