HYDERABAD: The Federal Ombudsman Secretariat, Hyderabad office, organized a public awareness session at Government Muslim Science College to familiarize students and faculty members with the aims and objectives, role, services, and complaint redressal mechanism of the Federal Ombudsman institution.

The Regional Head of the Federal Ombudsman Hyderabad, Ghulam Rasool Ahpan, attended the event as the chief guest and addressed the participants. Principal of the college, Professor Ghulam Mustafa Dahri, was also present on the occasion.
Speaking at the session, Ghulam Rasool Ahpan highlighted the importance of the Federal Ombudsman as a key institution for promoting transparent governance, accountability, and responsiveness in public service delivery. He explained the procedure for lodging complaints and emphasized that the institution is committed to providing free, prompt, and impartial justice to the public.
He further stated that through reform initiatives and awareness campaigns, the Federal Ombudsman Secretariat is making its services more accessible, particularly for youth, students, and marginalized segments of society. Such outreach efforts, he added, enable more citizens to seek effective resolution of their grievances through the Ombudsman forum.
The session was appreciated by students and faculty members, who acknowledged the importance of awareness regarding legal rights and available grievance redress mechanisms.
