PESHAWAR: A long-standing grievance of a Peshawar resident was resolved following the intervention of the Wafaqi Mohtasib Secretariat Regional Office, resulting in the restoration of his Computerized National Identity Card (CNIC) after eight years.

Mr. Nadeem, whose CNIC had remained blocked since 2017, approached the Regional Office after repeated efforts to resolve the issue with the National Database and Registration Authority failed to produce results.

Officials said the complaint was taken up by Investigation Officer Ms. Anjum Bibi, whose prompt action led to the unblocking and reissuance of the CNIC.

Mr. Nadeem expressed satisfaction over the resolution of his case and appreciated the role of the Wafaqi Mohtasib Secretariat in addressing his long-pending problem.

In a statement, the Regional Office reiterated its commitment to providing swift, transparent, and fair redress of public grievances, particularly those related to identity documents and essential public services. Citizens can submit complaints regarding maladministration to the Wafaqi Mohtasib Regional Office in Peshawar or through its official WhatsApp helpline.
