As part of its ongoing efforts to bring public services closer to citizens, the Office of the Ombudsman Punjab deployed its Awaami Khidmat Programme van to District Jhang, Tehsil Shorkot on January 13, 2026.

The visit aimed to facilitate easy access to complaint registration and grievance redressal mechanisms at the doorstep of the public. Through this mobile service, citizens were provided guidance on filing complaints and seeking timely resolution of issues related to maladministration.

Officials said the Awaami Khidmat Programme is designed to make the complaint redressal process more accessible, efficient, and citizen-friendly. The initiative reflects the Ombudsman Punjab’s continued commitment to transparency, accountability, and improved public service delivery across the province.

Residents welcomed the initiative, terming it a practical step toward ensuring justice and administrative relief for people in remote and underserved areas.
