Islamabad: Executive Secretary of Forum of Pakistan Ombudsman, Mr. Almas Ali Jovindah, attended the online meeting of the International Ombudsman Institute’s United Nations and International Cooperation (UNIC) Working Group, chaired by the Ombudsman of Thailand, H.E. Mr. Songsak Saicheua.
Participating in his capacity as the designated lead for the OECD-related Key Priority Area, Mr. Jovindah briefed the Working Group on the progress made in advancing institutional engagement with OECD officials and identifying potential avenues for collaboration between the IOI and OECD in the areas of anti-corruption, administrative justice, and the institutional strengthening of ombudsman institutions. He also presented an overview of the concept paper prepared by the Federal Tax Ombudsman Secretariat, which outlines a proposed framework for developing structured cooperation with the OECD in these priority areas.
The UNIC meeting was also attended by IOI Asian Regional Director and Provincial Ombudsman of Sindh, H.E. Muhammad Sohail Rajput.
