Islamabad: Banking Mohtasib Pakistan, Sirajuddin Aziz, met with President Asif Ali Zardari at Aiwan-e-Sadr and presented the Annual Report 2025, highlighting the institution’s performance in resolving banking-related complaints.

Key figures shared with the President: 35,130 complaints registered in 2025, with 36,280 resolved and Rs 1.88 billion in relief provided to customers. In the first half of 2026 alone, 21,392 new complaints were received, with Rs 762.76 million in relief disbursed to date.

Senator Saleem Mandviwalla also attended the meeting.

Following the briefing, the President directed the Banking Mohtasib to expand public awareness of its services to help protect customers from fraud, and to especially facilitate women, persons with disabilities, senior citizens, low-income communities, and other vulnerable groups in accessing justice.
