ISLAMABAD: In a major stride toward institutional collaboration and the advancement of workplace safety, the Federal Ombudsperson for Protection against Harassment of Women at the Workplace (FOSPAH), Ms. Fauzia Viqar, held a working-level meeting with Mr. Hayat Ali Shah, Director General of the Federal Judicial Academy (FJA), at the Academy’s headquarters.
The meeting successfully built upon an in-principle approval of a collaboration framework between FOSPAH and FJA, which was previously granted by the Honourable Chief Justice of Pakistan in his capacity as the Chairman of the Board of Governors of the FJA.
During the productive session, leadership from both sides engaged in an in-depth analysis of the operational gaps and institutional challenges FOSPAH encounters while addressing workplace harassment. To bridge these gaps, both entities agreed to formalize their partnership by developing a comprehensive Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).
The upcoming MoU will focus on:
- Judicial Education: Aligning curricula to better understand and adjudicate gender-based workplace grievances.
- Professional Capacity Building: Strengthening the skills and expertise of relevant judicial and administrative officers.
- Workplace Dignity: Jointly promoting professional environments across Pakistan that strictly uphold safety, respect, and equality.
FOSPAH looks forward to this strategic alliance with the Federal Judicial Academy, viewing it as a transformative step toward embedding a nationwide culture of dignity and fairness within Pakistan’s judicial and administrative frameworks.
