The Federal Ombudsperson Secretariat for Protection Against Harassment (FOSPAH) Sindh Regional Office hosted a delegation of eight members from the Women’s Action Forum (WAF) for an interactive awareness session on the Protection Against Harassment of Women at the Workplace Act, 2010.

The session focused on the scope of the legislation, the mandate of FOSPAH, and the practical application of the law in fostering safe, respectful, and inclusive workplaces. Participants engaged in discussions on legal protections available to employees, institutional responsibilities, and effective mechanisms for addressing workplace harassment.

Workplace harassment remains a significant challenge in Pakistan’s professional environment, affecting employee well-being, dignity, and organizational productivity. The session reaffirmed the importance of strengthening awareness and promoting compliance with the law to ensure workplaces remain free from harassment and discrimination.

Established in 1981, the Women’s Action Forum (WAF) is one of Pakistan’s longest-standing and most respected women’s rights organizations. Its engagement with FOSPAH reflects a continued commitment to enhancing legal awareness and empowering women through knowledge of their rights and available grievance redress mechanisms.

The interaction concluded with a shared commitment to promoting awareness, strengthening institutional collaboration, and advancing safer workplaces where dignity, equality, and justice are upheld for all.
