The Federal Ombudsperson for Protection Against Harassment, Ms. Fauzia Viqar, met with the Chief Justice of Pakistan to discuss matters related to gender-responsive justice, dignity at the workplace, and institutional mechanisms for protection against harassment.
During the meeting, the Federal Ombudsperson briefed the Chief Justice on the role, mandate, and ongoing initiatives of her institution in addressing workplace harassment and ensuring safer environments in both public and private sector organizations.
The discussions focused on strengthening institutional coordination for the effective implementation of workplace harassment laws and enhancing awareness regarding legal remedies available to victims of harassment. Special emphasis was placed on improving institutional responses for vulnerable and marginalized segments of society.
A detailed briefing was also presented on efforts aimed at promoting safe, inclusive, and respectful working environments, in line with constitutional principles and human rights standards.
