LAHORE: Ombudsperson Punjab Dr. Najma Afzal Khan held a productive meeting with HEC Chairperson Prof. Dr. Iqrar Ahmad Khan to discuss strengthening the implementation of women protection laws in educational institutions.
During the meeting, the HEC Chairperson reaffirmed his commitment to womenโs safety, dignity and legal protection. Both sides exchanged views on practical measures to ensure safer academic environments and effective enforcement of laws against harassment and violence.
Dr. Najma Afzal Khan emphasized that every woman deserves a life free from harassment and violence, adding that coordinated efforts are essential to turn policies into meaningful protection.
The meeting concluded with a shared commitment to promote awareness, improve institutional response mechanisms and safeguard womenโs rights across educational institutions.
