ISLAMABAD: The Federal Ombudsman Secretariat for Protection against Harassment (FOSPAH) participated in the first Joint UN-Government consultation workshop on core commitments and communication SOPs for Protection from Sexual Exploitation, Abuse and Harassment (PSEAH).

The workshop was organized by UNFPA Pakistan in collaboration with the United Nations PSEA Network Pakistan, bringing together UN agencies, government institutions and partner organizations to strengthen coordination and referral mechanisms.
FOSPAH was represented by Law Officer Mr. Mohsin Sheikh, Assistant Registrar Ms. Shaza Kaleem Usmani, Communication Officer Ms. Yumna Jamil, and Assistant Media & Outreach Ms. Hira Tariq.
Discussions focused on survivor-centered approaches, confidentiality, safe reporting channels, victim assistance, accountability and coordination under national laws and UN policies.
FOSPAH’s role as an independent statutory body dealing with workplace harassment cases was also highlighted. The participation reaffirmed FOSPAH’s commitment to zero tolerance for exploitation and harassment and to building stronger protection systems for a safer society.
