Islamabad: The Federal Insurance Ombudsman (FIO) Pakistan provided financial relief amounting to Rs. 1.58 billion to citizens during 2025, helping policyholders whose insurance claims were rejected, delayed, or mishandled by insurance companies and banks.

According to the details shared by the FIO, citizens can approach the institution for complaints related to life, health, vehicle, and bank-sold insurance policies. The complaint process is free of cost and does not require a lawyer.

The FIO stated that applicants only need to submit a one-page application, while decisions are made within 60 days. The institution emphasized that access to fair insurance claim redressal is a legal right of citizens.

Citizens facing issues with insurance claims can contact the FIO through its helpline 1082 between 9:00 am and 5:00 pm, visit fio.gov.pk, or email infohq@fio.gov.pk for assistance.
