Lahore: The Girls Club at the University of Management and Technology (UMT) organized an insightful seminar under the theme “وجودِ زن سے ہے تصویرِ کائنات میں رنگ 2.0”, focusing on women’s role in society, workplaces, education, and national development.

Federal Ombudsperson, Fouzia Viqar, attended the session and addressed participants on the importance of women’s equal participation in all fields of life. She emphasized that national progress cannot be achieved without recognizing women’s contributions in science, development, leadership, and nation-building.
Speaking to the audience, she stated that harassment should not be treated as a private matter, but as a collective societal concern that requires awareness, accountability, and institutional action.
The seminar encouraged dialogue on dignity, equality, and empowerment, highlighting how women continue to shape communities, drive progress, and demand respect in every sphere of life.
The session concluded with a shared commitment to promoting safer workplaces, inclusive educational spaces, and a culture of dignity and respect for women across society.
