Moscow, April 15, 2026: The Office of the Ombudsman Punjab participated in the International Scientific and Practical Conference on Monitoring and Expert Evaluation of Electoral Processes, held in Moscow, Russia, on April 14 and 15, 2026.

The conference was organized by the Center for International Interaction and Cooperation (CIIC) with the support of key international and governmental institutions. It brought together ombudspersons, electoral experts, and international delegates to exchange knowledge, experiences, and best practices related to election observation, transparency, and democratic processes.

The Office of the Ombudsman Punjab was represented by Ms. Ayesha Hamid, Ombudsman Punjab, along with Mr. Sabir Kabir, Liaison Officer cum Coordinator, and Ms. Noor Ul Ain Zafar, Deputy Director Implementation and Coordination.

The conference was hosted by Ms. Ella Pamfilova, Chairperson of the Central Election Commission of the Russian Federation. Distinguished international figures, including Mr. Vito Grittani, Ambassador-at-Large of the Republic of Abkhazia, and Ms. Tatyana Moskalkova, High Commissioner for Human Rights in the Russian Federation, also attended the event.

The participation of the Office of the Ombudsman Punjab reflected its continued commitment to strengthening accountability, institutional cooperation, and democratic processes through international engagement.
