Sukkur: The Provincial Ombudsman Sindh, Sukkur Region, organized an open court at the District Accounts Office Sukkur to ensure prompt resolution of public complaints and facilitate citizens, particularly pensioners.

The open court was presided over by Mr. Ahmad Ali Qureshi, Regional Director, and attended by officials from various government departments, along with pensioners and citizens who presented their grievances.

During the session, several complaints were received regarding pensions, arrears, non-availability of service books, and other financial matters. Mr. Qureshi reviewed the cases and issued instructions for the immediate resolution of several complaints on the spot.

He directed the concerned officials to address public grievances without unnecessary delay and warned against negligence or the use of delaying tactics in resolving legitimate issues.

While some pensioners’ cases were settled immediately, relevant departments were instructed to submit reports on other cases within a specified timeframe.

Mr. Ahmad Ali Qureshi emphasized that resolving the problems of pensioners remains a priority, assuring that retired employees would not face unnecessary difficulties. He noted that such open courts are aimed at providing timely justice to citizens and improving the efficiency and accountability of government institutions.
