ISLAMABAD: In a significant step toward strengthening institutional collaboration on women’s rights, the Federal Ombudsperson Secretariat for Protection Against Harassment (FOSPAH) welcomed the Chairperson of the National Commission on the Status of Women (NCSW), along with the Deputy Chief and Legal Consultant, during their visit to the Secretariat.

The delegation was received by the Hon’ble Ombudsperson, Fauzia Waqar, where both sides engaged in detailed discussions focused on strengthening women’s empowerment, leadership, and advocacy initiatives.

Key areas of discussion included legislative measures to advance women’s rights, strategies to promote women’s leadership at various levels, and the development of active referral mechanisms between institutions. The meeting also explored enhanced coordination among National Human Rights Institutions to facilitate data sharing, joint strategizing, and mutual institutional support.

The engagement underscored a shared commitment to advancing women’s rights through strengthened partnerships, improved institutional frameworks, and collaborative governance aimed at ensuring effective protection and empowerment of women across Pakistan.
