In a significant engagement aimed at reinforcing institutional accountability and workplace dignity, the Honourable Federal Ombudsperson addressed officers participating in the Mid-Career Management Course from the Police Service of Pakistan and the National Accountability Bureau (NAB).

Speaking to senior officers entrusted with upholding the law, the Federal Ombudsperson emphasized that meaningful reform begins within institutions themselves. She urged participants to demonstrate a deeper commitment to dignity, equity, and structural reform, noting that accountability must first be practiced internally before it can be effectively enforced externally.
During her lecture, she outlined the mandate of the Federal Ombudsperson Secretariat for Protection Against Harassment (FOSPAH), which is tasked with addressing workplace harassment and safeguarding women’s rights under the law. She stressed that safe and respectful work environments are essential for institutional credibility and public trust.
The session provided a platform for dialogue between law enforcement leadership and the legal redress mechanism, marking an important convergence of oversight and enforcement institutions. Participants engaged in discussions on strengthening internal complaint systems, ensuring fair inquiry processes, and promoting gender-sensitive institutional cultures.
The interaction was described as a vital step toward reinforcing shared responsibility among key state institutions to create safer, more just, and accountable workplaces across Pakistan.
