ISLAMABAD: Federal Ombudsperson Ms. Fauzia Viqar along with Advisor FOSPAH Ambassador Naghmana A. Hashmi hosted a lunch at the Islamabad Club in honor of foreign lady ambassadors and senior diplomats resident in Islamabad.
The distinguished guests included Mrs. Inna Rut Lepel, Ambassador of Germany; Mrs. Marilina Armellin, Ambassador of Italy; Ms. Fatou Harerimana, High Commissioner of Rwanda; Alexandra Cannell Berg, Ambassador of Sweden; Ms. Rita Dhital, Ambassador of Nepal; and Ms. Henrietta, Development Director at the British High Commission.
During the gathering, the participants exchanged views on the status of women and discussed the measures being undertaken in their respective countries to protect and promote women’s rights. The discussion highlighted legal and policy frameworks addressing key issues such as workplace harassment, property rights, and gender equality.
The event underscored the Federal Ombudsperson Secretariat for Protection Against Harassment’s commitment to fostering dialogue, international cooperation, and shared learning to advance women’s empowerment and legal protection at both national and global levels.
